RICK MAGDER
Founder, Producer, Director
Rick Magder is a marketing strategist and media producer with decades of experience building brands, growing audiences, and creating story-driven campaigns that deepen connection and drive results. His work sits at the intersection of storytelling, digital media, and marketing strategy, spanning both the commercial and nonprofit worlds.
Before founding Bright River Media, Rick co-founded Magder Entertainment and Magder Studios, Canada's largest independent production studio, producing films, commercials, and digital content for A-list talent including Marlon Brando, Cher, Robert De Niro, and Jane Fonda. He went on to lead media and broadcasting for the Orthodox Union, quadrupling web traffic and turning OU.org into one of the Jewish world's premier sites, and later directed several global education and digital initiatives creating programs now used by schools worldwide.
Rick has produced award-winning work distributed by Disney and DreamWorks, directed campaigns for organizations like Tel Aviv University and Touro University, and created content for tech and hedge fund clients alike. He's also a published author and writes a weekly Substack on meaningful living.
